Welcome to My Engineering Blog
An introduction to this engineering blog and its focus on backend systems, software architecture, and lessons from building software.
This is my engineering blog.
I will use this space to document what I learn overtime while building software systems and working with modern backend technologies.
What I will write about
The primary focus will be software engineering, particularly:
- TypeScript
- Node.js
- NestJS
- Express.js
- Go/Golang (currently learning)
- React
- Next.js
- PostgreSQL
- Redis
- Distributed systems
- System architecture
- Security
- Cloud infrastructure
- DevOps
- and many more…
I will also document architectural decisions, implementation lessons and problems encountered while building real systems.
Why document the work?
Software engineering involves continuous learning.
Having collaborated and worked on systems overtime, I have been learning, collaborating and developing systems in silence. Also, I have not cultivated the habit of documenting my mistakes, errors encountered, fixes and lesson learnt while working on projects overtime.
Having read books, studied and listen to industries experts, I realize my shortcomings. I realized being silent is not the best path to thread if truly problem solving is my intentions. Hence, I decided to start this blog.
I further realized that writing forces me to make architectural decisions explicit, test my assumptions and communicate technical ideas clearly.
This site will therefore serve both as a technical notebook and as a record of my engineering journey onward.
